Resumo: This workshop will incorporate language and culture, as we explore the different regions of the United States. We will discuss varying accents, such as the Southern accent vs. the Northern Midwestern accent, as well as how that affects the lexicon they use. We also plan to highlight culture through food variations, including the role of different ethnicities on influencing popular dishes in particular regions. Additionally, we will explain other cultural variations across regions, such as cowboy culture, urban vs. rural, and perceptions through popular culture.
